Things You'll Need:
- Tile cleaner
- Grout stain colorant
- Small paintbrush
- Cleaning cloth
- Scouring pad
- 1Clean tile and grout with a tile and grout cleaner designed for your type of tile. Allow tile and grout to dry for four hours.
- 2Carefully paint grout lines with grout stain colorant using a small paint brush that is no wider than the grout line. Work on a small area at a time, removing any grout stain colorant that accidentally gets on the tile with a cleaning cloth.
- 3Allow grout stain colorant to dry for a minimum of one hour or time specified on manufacturer's directions.
- 4Apply a second coat of grout stain colorant using the same method as the first coat. Allow it to dry.
- 5After grout is fully dry. Clean tile and grout with tile and grout cleaner again. If any grout stain colorant is on the tile, scrub gently with a scouring pad to remove.
- 6Apply a grout sealant to protect grout and keep it looking new.
